A journey through Peru, Mexico and Belize, from Trujillo and Huaraz to Mexico City, Playa del Carmen and the Maya sites.

How it felt
The journey moved from northern Peru, with stops including Trujillo and Huaraz, to Mexico City. From there it continued to Playa del Carmen, where time by the coast included a visit to a cenote.
The route also reached Caracol in Belize, a Maya site deep in the forest, before returning to Playa del Carmen. These entries follow the trip from February to March 2017.
