A Czech Summer Road Trip
A campervan journey from England through Germany and Czechia, with Prague, historic towns, mountain trails and a few detours along the way.
Dates: 27 July–August 2024
Travelling together: Bryan, Dana, Adam, Katja
How it felt
We set off from Newbury in Bandit for a summer road trip that carried us across the UK and into Central Europe. After stops along the south coast and a journey through Germany, we reached Czechia by way of Plzeň and made our way to Prague.
Prague brought time with family, historic streets and plenty to explore. Beyond the city, we visited Kutná Hora and Terezín, hiked among the rock formations at Prachovské Skály, and discovered the spa-town elegance of Karlovy Vary. We also explored Czech glassmaking and the home of Pilsner beer.
The journey carried on beyond Prague through the northern Czech countryside, with stops in Poland and Berlin along the way. These stories gather the places and moments from our July and August adventure.
