How it felt

This year-long journey began in North America, with time in New York and Canada, then crossed the Pacific to New Zealand and Australia. From there the route continued through Singapore and Southeast Asia before heading north and west through Mongolia, China and Tibet, and on to Nepal and India.

The trip brought together very different landscapes and ways of travelling: big cities, long-distance journeys and time in the Himalayas. These stories trace the route from the first days in November 2010 through the return in November 2011.
