Stanley Park and Ice Hockey
27 December 2010
we headed off to Stanley Park in the morning which is on a peninsular of the city. it was a bit drizzly but not too bad. we walked the seawall taking in good views of Vancouver and the bay as we went. Tannis was just a superb tour guide telling us all the history as we went. Hot apple cider before we headed off and we stopped to see the laughing statues. very funny.
we had planned to go for an Indian meal at Tannis’s favourite Indian restaurant in Gas Town. lovely food as always, setting us up ready for the Hockey Game!
we had been looking forward to this....
D&T had bought us tickets for a game for Christmas. it was between the Vancouver Giants and the Kamloops Blazers. it was difficult to keep up with the action to start with but we soon got into it. we had a great evening it was just a shame the Giants played like wimps coz the Kamloops Blazers won 4 -3
