Montreal

Well we are here! we got a bit worried when we walked towards our hotel past loads of sex shops but we needn’t have worried. the hotel feels like it had a refurbishment recently and inside is warm, clean and modern. very nice. a lovely warm welcome from reception too. so then to be told we had been upgraded so we have our own bathroom and toilet was just the icing on the cake!! had a good walk of the city today and to be honest we couldn’t find too much to do. we found the maple delight tea rooms with a museum underneath so now Bryan knows where maple syrup comes from! the difference between Canada and the USA is remarkable though. the people here are much friendlier and staff in shops & bars etc much more helpful. We found the train station and picked up our VIA rail tickets for the rest of our journey through Canada so all good to go tomorrow.
