Day trip to the Sunshine Coast
5 September 2015
Today we were up and out early as we had to catch the 7:45am ferry at Horseshoe Bay.
It was a sleepy drive up there but for the first time in days, the sun was shining and we were hopeful for some good weather. We had a short wait for the ferry then a fairly short crossing to the other side.
The ride was beautiful. The sun was shining and the water was so calm, it makes all the difference and we spent most of the crossing outside taking in the beautiful scenery. It actually reminded us very much of the ferry ride when you cross between North and South Island in New Zealand.
Now it looks like we are taking the ferry to an island. But it's NOT an island. It's a peninsular off the mainland further up the coast. But it is a long way round to drive to it so most people take the ferry and save a shed load of time which they can then spend on the island. Sorry - i5,11046,11047,11048"]
