Not much to say about this trip really. This entry is more about the photos. It was another very early start - around 5am for us and the first part of the journey was identical to the route we took to get to Colca Canyon so although we had seen it before, it was still a stunning bus ride as we crossed the mountain plateau. We didn't mind seeing that twice!

We stopped in the same place for breakfast too. Although the tour guide was in a bit of a rush and gave us 20 minutes, the new girl serving had other ideas. It was her first day on the job and 45 minutes later; Jody finally got her breakfast after everybody else - and we had ordered first too. Oh well, such is the way in Peru. No point getting upset about it. On we went. This was going to be a long day. More beautiful scenery on the way and from here-on it was all new to us. We stopped in a little town for lunch which despite being a tiny rundown little town, had a fabulous little local restaurant which was spotlessly clean. Even better they served a great little lunch too.

You never really know what you are going to get to eat in these places but you always know it will start with soup. Onwards again and finally around 6pm we arrived in Cusco. We were both excited to be here. Bryan because he had heard so much about it and Jody because she had been here 10 years ago with a friend and had loved this town. Will it have changed? Will it live up to it's reputation? Who knows but we couldn't wait to find out.
