Niagara Falls
13 December 2010
Bus trip to Niagara Falls, when we arrived it was snowing, cold and windy, so not really the best time of year to visit the falls.
We visited behind the falls, which was the highlight of the day, being so close to the foot of the falls, hearing the rush of the water above you, and seeing the mass of water gushing past, was all just amazing. watch the video we took with the volume up to hear the noise.
After the falls a short trip to Niagara on the Lake, a small town, left to be a good old Canadian town, just like the good old days.
Lastly a visit to Dan Ackroyd’s winery, where we sampled some Ice Wine, very sweet and 20% proof too. Very nice to have perhaps after your meal.
so do you remember that hat Bryan bought? the one we spent days trolling round the shops to find? well he only went and left it on the bus!! luckily a quick call from the Hostel and the driver very kindly dropped it back in for him. we like Canadians! lucky for Bryan or he would have to get a cold head - i’m not looking around again for another one!!
