Melbourne

shapeimage_4 We arrived in Melbourne late afternoon and the traffic here is horrendous - it reminds us of London! We looked for the Information centre - a travellers first starting point in any town (after the Apple Store if you are Bryan of course!) Uncharacteristically they were not very helpful so we made our own way around and found some cheap city parking in the main park in the centre. From there we walked into the main city area and found a free concert in Federation Square, which actually wasn’t too bad just a bit cold. We headed for the city to have a wander around and stumbled upon a comedy club down a side street. We thought we would see if it was any good - that famous Aussie sense of humour and all that but I must say, we were both hugely disappointed. Couldn’t say much without bad language punctuating it all and the girl was dreadful. Really bad jokes so bad we didn’t retain any of them to put in here! So we decided to head back and warmth of another bar pulled us in for one last beer before going back to the van and zonking straight out as were were sooo tired. 300km on no sleep and 2 beers is not good! Bryan had managed to get two tickets for the Friday Grand Prix race trials at overall city experience: 9 (F1 gives biased score)
