Well goodbyes are never easy, especially when we wont be seeing our families for 2 years - unless they come out and join us of course!
We drove to the airport along with Jody's mum Tricia and Bryan's son Nathan.
When we arrived Bryan's parents Hannah & Dave were already there as was Becki who had come down on the train from Manchester that day.
Becki is actually going to be joining us for the first month when we will be in Sri Lanka. It is her 21st Birthday in August so this is a special birthday treat. Wow - what a treat!
Her boyfriend Josh will be joining us in a few weeks so we are looking forward to meeting him too

Our flight wasn't until 21:30 so we had plenty of time for a coffee and a few photographs together before we all had to say goodbye and head off through passport control.
It seemed a bit strange walking through with Becki as when we did this last time it was just the two of us. But it is nice for us to have her company - it will make it feel more like a holiday!
