Brisbane Friends

Bryan knew Mark from way back when they were both 14 years old and doing life saving in Kent. They have kept in touch in recent years via Facebook so when Mark knew we were going to Brisbane, he said come on over! So we did! Mark and his lovely girlfriend Karen opened their home to us, let us use the shower (oh my gosh it was hot and it was beautiful), sleep in their spare room (oh my gosh it was so comfy) and just let us chill and feel human again! We even watched ‘Only Fools & Horses’ the one with the chandelier!! You cannot underestimate how good those normal things feel to us and we cannot thank you enough Karen then went through her cupboards and gave us food and utensils to help us out. What a star! Of course they were also on hand to help us get Bryan’s luggage back from the airline and it was so good reduce the hassle. So, despite being so wonderful - you still get to be assessed on our accommodation scoring system!! ha ha Mark & Karen’s Home Room rating: 8/10 - shared bathroom, undergoing renovations! very very comfy bed Location: 5/10 - lovely location but quite a drive to anywhere Staff: 10/10 - brilliant hosts Value for Money: 10/10 Other comments: warm, clean and very comfortable Stay again? definitely overall city experience: 8
