A Final Stop in Nuremberg

As we embarked on our journey to the Czech Republic, our final stop before crossing the border was the historic city of Nuremberg. Known for its medieval charm and vibrant culture, Nuremberg offered the perfect blend of history and modernity.

Evening at Camping Park Platz

After a day of driving to Nuremberg, we decided to spend the night at Camping Park Platz. This well-maintained car park provided a peaceful retreat, allowing us to relax and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding us. The site offered all the necessary amenities, making it a convenient and comfortable stopover before continuing our travels.

As we settled in for the evening, the tranquil atmosphere of the park created the perfect setting for unwinding and reflecting on the day’s adventures. The gentle rustle of leaves and the crisp evening air made for a truly restful night.

Dining at Gastwirtschaft "Zur Futterhütte"

For dinner, we headed to Gastwirtschaft "Zur Futterhütte," a quaint local restaurant with a cosy café-like ambience. This delightful spot is a favourite among locals, known for its warm hospitality and authentic German cuisine. The menu featured a variety of traditional dishes, all crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Dana chose the turkey schnitzel, a classic dish that did not disappoint, while Bryan opted for the schnitzel served with creamy mash. Each dish was expertly prepared, rich in flavour, and accompanied by hearty servings of potatoes and a savoury gravy. The meal was a culinary highlight of our stop in Nuremberg, and we savoured every mouthful.

Onward to the Czech Republic

The following morning, rejuvenated and well-fed, we set off towards the Czech Republic. The drive was scenic, with rolling hills and picturesque villages lining the route. Crossing the border filled us with excitement and anticipation for the adventures ahead.

Our stop in Nuremberg was the perfect finale to our time in Germany, offering a memorable glimpse into the region’s history, culture, and culinary delights. With the Czech Republic now before us, we were eager to explore and immerse ourselves in all the experiences this fascinating country has to offer.
